IPR for HPOP

I recently replaced the O-Rings in my HPOP and upon removing the HPOP I noticed there are threads at the end of the IPR (external) with nothing fastened to it to prevent the sensor (?) from sliding off. I had service done on my truck about 1 year ago in relation to the truck not starting. They replaced a sensor on the HPOP and assume they either did not put the fastener back on or it came off.

Can someone tell me or send me a picture of what fastens to these threads so I can get a replacement?

I have no picture, but you are looking for a stamped steel nut. Don't forget about the spacer, which may have fallen off as well. I would take a good flashlight and look down in the valley under the hpop. You might have to get a little greasy and start fishing around down there. If you don't have a sparkling clean engine, the nut and spacer will probably be buried under the gunk

Only if you buy the whole ipr. That's pretty expensive

Actually, the IPR o-ring kit comes with a new spacer and stamped nut.

Should be around $30-40 at the dealer.

I appreciate the information and I did find the stamped nut in the valley last night minus the spacer. I am thinking about making my own spacer as it only looks like it just keeps the sensor from coming off. I was also going to find a nylon locking nut to replace the stamped nut.

Any suggestions?
